The quote in the subhead of my pages is from An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith. I highly recommend this book; it's baseline reading for an intelligent understanding of economics. Education in economics should be a required part of a college (if not high-school) education.
Unless otherwise noted, I hand-coded all pages on markbeadles.com using Notepad++ and created all images using Corel/Jasc Paint Shop Pro. I used a couple excellent free HTML/CSS code and tools as part of my page design: a cross-browser compatible resizable column layout based on code from Matthew James Taylor, and rounded box corners from http://www.roundedcornr.com/. The palette I use on my pages was created using Adobe Kuler, inspired by julievonderropp's palettes. The LinkedIn badge is provided by LinkedIn. The beautiful Twitter badge is by Randa Clay. The page background is a Penrose tiling. The rest is mine.
